DUNKIRK Bowling team keeps on rolling
The OBSERVER's View
We already knew the Dunkirk girls bowling team was special. In 2019, it brought home the state championship –and it was bound to happen again in 2020 but that’s when the pandemic started and everything came to a halt.
This week, however, the team will be going for more history: another local 6 title. “I couldn’t be more proud of a group of young women,” Coach Donna Kubera said. “My three seniors — Makayla (Pasierb), Olivia (Corbett) and Rachel (Glowniak) — have led this program to where it is today, Hopefully, next week, they can bring home a third Section 6 title to finish off their amazing run.”
This year’s edition finished the season 32-0 for the second straight year and boast a cumulative 181-3 mark over the last five seasons. That’s not just terrific. It is downright dominant.
