'Monster in the closet'
November 6, 2013 - John D'Agostino
U.S. Rep. Tom Reed made a stop in Dunkirk on Election Day.
During a visit to the area Rotary clubs representing Fredonia, Westfield-Mayville and Dunkirk at Shorewood Country Club, a Fredonia Rotarian asked why the high cost of long-term care is not addressed in the Affordable Care Act, calling it the "monster in the closet." Reed responded that he did not vote on the legislation, but is fearful of the federal government picking up those costs.
