I do have one more question, idiotic or not, and that is, what do the Boards of Directors do? Do they approve spending, or monitor finances? If so, I'd guess they'd bear some responsibility for the ridiculous spending of the now gone Mr. Lawrence? Would they approve the hiring he did, either in numbers or specific people? I'm seriously asking a question, because if the answer to all of this is a resounding "No!", than why have a Board of Directors? This is a small community, and lots of people are very aware of financial issues due to Mr. Lawrence's decisions over the last few years. So, in summation, what does the Board have to do with any of that? Just a question, sorry if I'm once again being an idiot, as you say.

Those boards don't cost one dime!? Not one? I'm shocked. And because I asked one question, I'm an idiot? My, my, it would appear a toe stepped on? How about a real answer instead. I think you'd better look at the finances of both hospitals before you start calling anyone an idiot.

Board positions for any non profit are volutary positions that are either earned through monetary donations or through service to the community and organization. So the answer is that it costs the system nothing because they are volunteers... and you're an idiot.

Just how many people are on the Boards of Directors for the entire hospital system, Brooks, Lakeshore and Gowanda, and how much money does it cost the system in total?
