There is little evidence that merging municipalities will save substantial money. A detailed financial analysis, however, would determine what savings, if any, would happen. It is a step forward for the taxpayers of Silver Creek. Lets continue to move into the future is there a need for a village? Hanover Sheridan and Silver Creek could easily be on the table to merge and consolidate services no question that would have great benefit to the over taxed residents that are paying for duplicate services in a small surrounding area. Maybe im wrong but dont see any large growth coming into those areas anytime soon businesses are closing and population is decreasing so should government to be in proportion to the peoples needs and means!
