Don't become too obsessed with spring being just around the corner everyone. We might get nailed again midweek next!

Renee, great piece. You have a gift for holding one's attention while articulating your point. Great job, I will be looking for more of your contributions.

I have a great built in block for avoiding the mundane commercials. My wife will ask me what I thought about that and I say, I am sorry, I missed it, as my mind had traveled to another place.

Yep you have been cooped up too much. Check the CO2 level in your home. Rome burns while you have TV overload.

Renee, you have done it again! Wow! It's great that the Observer has finally found someone who can write.

I am sick of the pharmaceutical ads. They need to do away with them like they did with the cigarette ads. I am sure my doc knows what is available for my well being.

I like to watch old shows on the TV and you just have to wonder how much of the show has been cut out to fit in 20 minutes of ads in an hour. One thing is that those old programs have been paid for over and over and I bet the actors don't make much of a royalty on them. So, why do they need to do this? I'm sure it's all about the money.

Renee you are spot on, as usual. Little is more annoying that drug advertising, and most doctors will tell you they make their jobs more difficult. And i am very tired of paying to see a movie, only to have to watch commercials for them. Isn't that why we pay to see the movie? Will HBO start adding commercials too? Too much Madison Ave in our world.

Excellent column, Renee. I hope everyone takes the time to read it. You touched on two major pet peeves of mine and said it far more eloquently.

TWC is a joke, if every weather event is "severe" then what will we do when we really get severe weather? And they've been admonished by NOAA for naming winter storms, yet they think they own the weather.. just ask them, they said as much during the DirecTV dispute.

Drug advertising must be curbed. We are a nation of pill pushers. The most over-prescribed and misdiagnosed country in the world. The ads aren't "patient education", they are attempts to get you to believe you have a condition and to turn you into a hypochondriac. They only tell the side effects because they are required to by law.

Excellent column. I hope you write more like this.
