Anthony Petrella, 91, of Dunkirk died Tuesday morning (Nov. 27, 2012) at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk.
He was born Nov. 24, 1921 in Dunkirk, the son of the late Salvatore and Rose (Pietro) Petrella.
A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Mr. Petrella was employed as a railroad worker by the New York Central Railroad in Dunkirk for 30 years.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and the Columbus Club.
Survivors include his sister, Lucille (Richard) Dolce of Brocton; and several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and George Petrella.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Entombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum of Holy Trinity Cemetery. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
