Scouts’ honor

Mayville Boy Scout Troop 126 was the recipient of the 2012 Community Service Award presented at the Mayville/Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting and banquet held at Webb's Captain's Table Restaurant, Mayville. The troop has participated in many service projects, including baseball dugouts and benches at Chautauqua Lake Central School; a soccer supply cabin; outdoor adult exercise equipment area at Lakeside Park, Mayville; holding an annual food drive benefiting the Mayville Food Pantry; as well as others. Chamber President Ken Shearer presented Scoutmaster Andy Cesarz and Assistant Scoutmaster Robert Benjamin with the award, which was accepted on behalf of Mayville Boy Scout Troop 126.
