GOWANDA - In a game which was essentially over with by halftime had some late excitement Tuesday at Gowanda Central School.
Fredonia's Elijah Williams, who has autism, drained two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to highlight the victory.
"It was nice for him to score," Gowanda coach Andy Bobseine said. "He was so pumped up. It was great to see that. He had the open look and he nailed them."
The Hillbillies jumped out to a 20-5 first-quarter lead and held a commanding 41-15 halftime cushion.
"Their man-to-man press is brutal," Bobseine said of Fredonia's defense.
Dylan Meyer led Fredonia with 19 points while Cody Cunningham added 15. Nick Johnston finished with 14 points in the win.
Carter Benton led Gowanda with eight points.
