SOUTH DAYTON - Jenna Einink and Ashton Albanesius combined for 29 rebounds in the Chautauqua Lake Lady Thunderbirds' (11-0, 15-0) 44-42 victory over the Pine Valley Lady Panthers (7-4, 9-8) in CCAA Division 4 girls high school basketball action Monday.
Einink grabbed 15 rebounds along with 14 points while Albanesius added 14 boards in a 12-point effort.
"Chautauqua Lake's a very good team and the first time we played them, we lost by 28," Pine Valley coach Tim Nobles said. "Both teams played very good defense. We don't match up well against their size and we battled on the boards."

The Lady Panthers kept the game close throughout, only trailing 26-25 at halftime and 37-34 after three periods of play. Pine Valley briefly grabbed the lead in the fourth quarter, but failed to hold the lead and was forced to foul the undefeated visitors in the waning seconds.
"We just couldn't make it over the hump in the fourth quarter," Nobles said.
Kara Hunt added five points and seven assists in a victorious effort for Chautauqua Lake.
Kayla Mansfield led Pine Valley with seven rebounds and four steals to go along with eight points. Alex Bentham added six points and six assists in a losing effort.
Pine Valley wraps up the regular season Wednesday night at Forestville while Chautauqua Lake hosts Panama.
