PORTLAND William Ernest Borgstrom, 65 years old, of West Lake Road in Portland, New York, passed away after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday morning, February 13, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Jamestown, New York on June 2, 1947, the son of the late Henry E. and Caroldean Marlette Borgstrom.
Mr. Borgstrom was formerly of Dunkirk, New York and then moved to Portland, New York where he made his home for the last 16 years.
He was a retired electrician belonging for 45 years to IBEW Local 106 of Jamestown, New York.
He loved gardening, fishing, bird watching and especially spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Colleen Borgstrom, whom he married July 14, 1991; and two daughters, Patricia Murphy of Randolph, New York and Megan Borgstrom of Portland, New York. Also surviving are Sheila Mullowney of Middletown, Rhode Island and Isaac Borgstrom of Rochester, New York; one sister Ms. Elizabeth Tofil of Dunkirk, New York; and one nephew, Christopher Tofil of Dunkirk, New York.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his good friend Thomas Elliott.
A Celebration of his Life will be held and announced at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
