A meeting of members of the Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon Sorority was recently held at the home of Judy Travis to finalize plans for the club's annual St. Patrick's Day Towel Bingo which was held Sunday, March 17. President Valerie Lis served as co-hostess.
The ladies held one of their most successful events in several years and extends thanks to the many members of the community for their total support of this worthwhile occasion. The patrons enjoyed an entertaining afternoon of Towel Bingo, raffles, a Chinese auction and delicious treats.
Members use the funds raised at this event to support the local Food Bank, assisting people in the community going through difficult times, planting flowers at the Brocton Arch Park and maintaining it throughout the growing season and giving to local groups in need of some assistance.
At the conclusion of the group's meeting, Jessie Hannold presented an informative program on Fraud Prevention and how to prevent becoming a victim of phone and Internet scams, phishing, and identity theft. She left members with much "food for thought."
The next meeting will be held at the home of Dottie Frontuto on Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. with Roxanne Fisk serving as co-hostess. Roberta Valentine will conduct the program.
