Members of the Circle X Women's Bowling League recently held an annual fundraiser at Lucky Lanes in Dunkirk, resulting in a contribution of $519 toward local women's breast health services. Michele Bouquin, League President, said funds were raised through the raffle of gift baskets donated by team members, a 50/50 drawing and other contributions.
"We are pleased to continue this tradition of support for Brooks Memorial Hospital's Women's Imaging Center and the digital mammography services they provide for early detection of breast cancers for those in our region," Bouquin said.
This year's contribution brings the total support of the league to $1,453 over the last three years. Sharon Muntz, MS, Brooks' Director of Radiology, expressed thanks to the team for their contribution.
Making their annual contribution to Brooks Memorial Hospital’s Imaging Center are Circle X Women’s Bowling League members. They are, in front from left, Sandy Draves, Brenda Bradley and Kate Bixby. In back are Brenda Pazderski, League President Michele Bouquin and Denise Richter.
"We would like to give a note of appreciation for continued support from our community for the Woman's Imaging Department and Circle X Bowling team," she said, noting that the funds "will be utilized to continue providing high quality technology and comfort for our patients."
The bowling event was held on March 4.
