Sean K. Lanning, 56, of 29 N. Main Street, Jamestown, N.Y. died Saturday (May 4, 2013) at 6:03 a.m. in his residence under the care of Hospice.
He was born July 17, 1956 in Edenton, North Carolina the son of Clarence "Bud" and Erma C. Lanning.
In earlier years, he was co-owner of the Old Main Cafe and Jack & Jill Construction in Fredonia. He currently was employed at Van's Texas Hots in Jamestown.
A gifted worker, Sean was always helping his friends with their projects. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Sean is survived by his former wife Susan and daughters Christina (Matt) Goss and Ashley (Tim) Griffith, as well as his grandchildren Madison and Jacob Goss, Paige, Avery and McKenna Griffith. He is also survived by his sister Sheila Quillinan, his dear aunt Dolly Wickmark, and several cousins.
He was surrounded by many loving friends at his passing. In addition to Hospice the family would like to thank those who provided comfort and support to Sean including Dennis and Christine Wilder, Amy Mackie, Darlene Shoup and Andrew Jochum, Jr.
A graveside service will be held in the Gerry Hill Cemetery on the Gerry-Ellington Road at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 with Chaplin Cathy Smith of Hospice presiding.
Donations for a per-manent memorial may be made in care of Andrew Jochum, Jr.
