CHAUTAUQUA - Chautauqua Institution hosts its first "Art In The Park" craft show of the season on Sunday, July 7. The craft show and sale will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. in Miller Park.
More than 70 tables and tents are expected to be brimming with paintings, prints, photographs, collages, textiles, pottery, ceramics and a wide variety of other high quality crafts and jewelry. Many of Chautauqua's artisans have taken part in juried shows throughout the region. Visitors have the opportunity to catch an early peak at art being created by some of the fine arts students who are preparing their professional portfolios at Chautauqua this summer.
In addition to the art show by the lake, art galleries will be open, there are shops to explore, music programs to sample, and many food options to try. Guests can enjoy the special aura of the Chautauqua village set in acres of natural beauty. Everyone is also invited to bring a camera.
