Though it seems the school year has just ended, it is time to prepare for the next school year. The Fredonia Baptist Christian Nursery School will open for the 2013-2014 school year on Sept. 9. Openings are available for the two- and three-day programs.
A teaching/learning curriculum is stressed for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. New students must have their third birthdays by Dec. 1 and be toilet trained. Christian ideals of honesty, sharing and responsibility are practiced daily.
The Christian Nursery School is located on the corner of Church and Temple streets in downtown Fredonia in the Education wing of the Fredonia Baptist Church. Appointments for a tour or to pick up an application can be made by calling 679-9966 any morning. Alexis Brandt, co-director, will be happy to answer questions.
Students will enjoy learning through play, art, music, listening, oral expression and computer activities. Developmentally appropriate activities are planned for academic, physical and social exposure.
Karen Tramuta and Jane Wright, along with the board of June Walldorff, Genevieve Ludemann, room parents and the Rev. Donald Howard plan the calendar celebrating holidays, organizing field trips and welcoming guest speakers.
Orientation for parents will be Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 9 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
