MAYVILLE - The Dunkirk-Fredonia-Silver Creek swim team received double-win performances from three swimmers in a 106-79 victory over Chautauqua Lake on Tuesday in CCAA girls high school swimming.
Riley Drummond took first place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:11.27 and she also won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.69. Teammate Deidra Osula took first place in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle with times of :25.50 and :59.96, respectively.
Katie Webster placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:32.91) and the 100 breaststroke (1:03.69) for the winners.
The DFSC 200 freestyle relay team, consisting of Mikayla Reynolds, Drummond, Webster and Osula, took first place with a time of 1:46.06. The time is a Dunkirk school record which has lasted 13 years, and is also a Fredonia school record which had been in place for six years. Also, the 200 medley relay team set a Dunkirk school record and a Fredonia school record. The time of 1:57.79 broke Dunkirk's record which had been in place for 32 years while the Fredonia record was in place for 29 years. The team consisted of Drummond, Webster, Osula and Reynolds.
Also for DFSC, seventh grader Grace Mroczka took first place in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:11.03.
The Lady Thunderbirds received first-place finishes from Kirsten Elliott (diving, 135.52) and Abbey Jantzi (100 butterfly, 1:35.52).
