On Sept. 26, the Fredonia Cable Access Committee (Time Warner channels 5 and 17) held its monthly meeting to discuss October programming, the ongoing Cable contract negotiation and changes to the channel lineups.
Channel 5 is gone from analog TVs. It is on Channel 5 on the cable boxes, and it is on channel 96.1 on a digital flat screen TV, but viewers have to run the auto program in the set up menu to get the TV to recognize the channel. Several channels have moved and there might even be new stations available. Programming can be viewed on U-Tube at: Access 5 Fredonia.
October programming is as follows:
The final two Fredonia football games are scheduled to air on Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. (Fredonia vs. Gowanda) and on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. (Fredonia-Dunkirk). Games will be aired live and then rebroadcast the next day.
On Oct. 19 at noon, it will air the County Executive debate between candidates Ron Johnson and Vince Horrigan.
Oct. 29 at 7 p.m., it will air the League of Women Voters Meet the Candidates night live from the Fredonia Courthouse.
Residents interested in becoming committee members or submitting information for the Community Bulletin Board should contact the board at email@example.com. The next Fredonia Cable Access meeting is scheduled for Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in the teen center (basement meeting room) in Fredonia's Village Hall.
