Josephine S. (Serio) Taddio, 96, of Dunkirk died Saturday afternoon, October 5, 2013.
She was born Nov. 17, 1916 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Jennie (Lima) Serio.
She was a loving wife and mother. Devoted to religion all of her life, she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Surviving are her five children, Anita (Edward) Pagano of Portland, Jeanette (Anthony) Crino of Dunkirk, John (Connie) Taddio of Henderson, Nevada, Mary (Joseph) Rosario of Dunkirk and Jennie (Jeff) Saeli of Clarence; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandsons.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, baby John Taddio; sisters, Rose Granata, Arlene Privateer and Mary Cardella; and a grandson, Nicholas J. Rosario.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Holy Trinity Church. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. A special thanks to Hospice for their care. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
