ELLICOTTVILLE - Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany and Cattaraugus counties will provide the public with a view into the organizations future on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at its annual meeting. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Our Lady of Angels Church in Cuba from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
CCEACC Director Laura Hunsberger will present on what the local not-for-profit will be applying its efforts toward over the next year, including ideas for new events and marketing platforms that will make the organization more visible and accessible to the public.
The meeting will also act as a public introduction for Hunsberger, who has just recently taken over the position of director for CCEACC.
"I am excited to be working with counties that have strong agricultural ties, expanding 4-H programs and innovative wellness initiatives," Hunsberger remarked. "The next year will have many exciting opportunities for all of us."
Hunsberger previously held the position of director for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County. Her expertise and knowledge of extension programs and policies are paired with previous experience planning and executing fundraising events and marketing campaigns for CCENC. These qualities will prove essential in the expansion and future goals of CCEACC.
This year's annual meeting will also showcase the talents of the Allegany and Cattaraugus County 4-H programs. 4-H youth members will participate in a "Taste of 4-H," preparing different dishes and desserts for meeting attendees to indulge in. The meeting will also feature a basket auction and multiple fall-themed door prizes. All proceeds from the basket auction will go directly to CCEACC programs.
