The Silver Creek Central Middle School is proud to announce the Students of the Month for October..
The students were selected based on the following criteria: strong work ethic, dependability, helpfulness, respectfulness and cooperation with others.
The sixth-grade recipients are Brianna Castro and Noah Merchant. Brianna is the daughter of Lisa and Juventino Castro Sr. Brianna is a member of Art Club, Yearbook Club, Builders Club, and Student Council. Outside of school she likes to do arts and crafts and play outside. One day Brianna would like to be a chef or a meteorologist. Noah is the son of Crystal and Andrew Merchant. Noah is a member of Book Club and Bible Club. Outside of school he likes to play video games and jump on the trampoline. When Noah grows up he'd like to be either a paleontologist or a video game designer.
The seventh- grade recipients are Kristen Wielgasz and Derek Roehner. Kristen is the daughter of Kim and Ken Wielgasz. She is on the modified basketball team and a member of the Spanish and Builders clubs. Outside of school Kristen likes to draw, play instruments, read, play on the computer, listen to music, play video games, and play soccer, basketball and badminton. She hopes to one day be a writer, musician or zoologist. Derek is the son of Maria and Robert Roehner. Derek is a member of Book Club and he plays tennis and baseball. Aside from hanging out with friends, he enjoys being instructed in tennis with great coaches in Orchard Park. When Derek grows up he would like to be a professional tennis player or a sports anchor.
The eighth-grade recipients are Samantha Page and Bryan Berek. Samantha is the daughter of Vaughn and Fran Page. She plays on the modified volleyball team. Samantha loves to sing and learn Sign Language. She hopes to be a business manager when she grows up. Bryan is the son of Linda and Brian Berek. Bryan is a member of the modified soccer team. He likes creating comics and playing hockey with his brother. Bryan wants to be a Firefighter/EMT with the Sheridan Fire Department when he grows up.
