Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society held its Christmas Party Monday, Dec. 2 at St. Hedwig's Social Center. President Martha Bialaszewski welcomed the members and guests; hors d'oeuvres were served and oplatki (holy wafers) were shared. All wrongs committed in the past year were forgiven and health, happiness and good fortune were wished for the coming year.
Father Matt Nycz gave the invocation and a dinner of 13 courses was served. (This represents the 12 apostles and Jesus). Father Walter Werbicki gave Benediction and candy favors to all at the party. Father Thomas Wopperer led singing during "Twelve Days of Christmas" skit and also sang the German "Silent Night." Sister Mary Andrew, CSSF, performed a solo of "Holy Trinity."
Polish and English songs were sung with Patricia Bialaszewski playing piano to bring on the Christmas Spirit.
Guests also included Sister Rachel, CSSF, and Sister Elizabeth, CSSF.
Christmas presents were given by the committee of Carol Schiller, Sandra Tapasto, Rita Cieslewicz, Lucille Bartkowski, Nathalie Kolasa and Rose Gawronski.
The next meeting will be Monday, Jan. 6 at St. Hyacinth's Lyceum.
