Cathy Mackay, director of the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging, has announced plans for the Senior Wellness and Nutrition (SWAN) program New Year's Eve holiday meal.
On Tuesday, Dec. 31, the SWAN sites will be ringing in the new year of 2014 by serving a "good luck for the new year" meal of roasted pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut, grape juice and rye bread. The dessert will be red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. (Please note:

Reservations are required and must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling your local SWAN site: Allegany (373-6376), Cattaraugus (257-3035), Delevan (492-2543), Franklinville (676-3993), Gowanda (532-5598), Little Valley (938-6066), Portville (933-7080), Randolph (358-5656), South Dayton (988-5037) and West Valley (942-6695).
The suggested contribution amount for the meal is $3.50; however, no one will be denied a meal due to inability or unwillingness to contribute to the meal.
