On Wednesday, Dec. 18, the Chautauqua Adult Day Care Center's Dunkirk location celebrated Christmas and the holiday season. Because the senior day program's participants were good this year, Santa arrived to bring them presents.
The celebration was complemented by good food, and music by The Millennium.
Chautauqua Adult Day Care Centers Inc. is a not for profit United Way agency, which offers affordable Senior Day Programs and Respite Care Services for adults 60 years of age and older who live in the community.
“Santa” (Esmeralda Ramos) brings a big smile to the face of Dunkirk Adult Day Care participant Aida Rosas Santiago who is receiving her Christmas present.
The agency has four sites that serve Chautauqua County.
The programs provide an opportunity for the participants to socialize. Older adults can participate in activities during the day in a caring, friendly atmosphere with supportive staff and companionship.
