Pennies add up to help others

January 4, 2014
The OBSERVER

The quote by Benjamin Franklin, "A penny saved is a penny earned" proves true for GCS students. SADD, Students Against Destructive Decisions, at Gowanda Central School collected loose change and turned it into some serious cash to help others. The almost $1,500 in loose change that was converted into gift cards for the Cops, Kids, Community, and Christmas drive. The remaining money will be counted and donated to the Gowanda Food Pantry.
