A League of Girls has formed.
A mix of eleven fourth and fifth grade girls at J. T. Waugh Elementary School in the Lake Shore Central School District are spending part of their Monday afternoons learning, experiencing, and celebrating different facets of the female community.
The League of Girls explores the elements of a team, discusses extraordinary heroines, and examines the complexities of being a young woman and the value of building a supportive sisterhood in a variety of cultures.
