The Fredonia High School Class of 1969 held its 45-year reunion on July 25 and 26.
Activities started on Friday with a casual get together at Point Gratiot followed by entertainment by the Wretched Group. The large crowd danced and sang along to the music the same band played at high school dances. Koozies with the original Hillbilly logo and orange and black wristbands and badges with class members' senior yearbook pictures were presented to those attending.
Saturday class members and guests gathered at the White Inn for a dinner featuring local food favorites. Comedian Nick Siracuse, brought continuous laughter to the room with stories to which everyone could relate. DJ Dean Roberts kept things hopping with trivia, games, and karaoke as well as favorite oldies music for the group's dancing pleasure. Prizes were awarded throughout the night. Each classmate was given a bottle of FREDONIA wine and a favor made of nostalgic candies.
