There will be a yard sale and bake sale fundraiser to benefit Denise Sealander on Saturday, at American Legion Post # 59, 156 East Main St., Fredonia from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Items are needed for the event and can be dropped off at the club today from 3 to 10 p.m. No clothing or shoes are accepted.
The bake sale will be from 9 a.m. until sold out. Baked goods are also needed and can be dropped off Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
This fundraiser is sponsored by the American Legion and the Sheridan VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
On Saturday, Cross Roads Farm & Craft Market will host a benefit for Pamela Herdeman, who has triple negative breast cancer. The single mother has been a hairdresser in a local nursing home, and as such has touched the lives of many with her helping hands. Now she needs help to continue her fight as she pays for her mounting medical bills and wages war on the disease that threatens her.

Paul Szach, 44, of Dunkirk, is facing a number of medical issues. His disability benefits have expired and now he is on unpaid medical leave. His family and friends are asking the community to be "PAULSTRONG" at a benefit planned for Sunday Sept. 7 from 1 to 6 p.m at Rookies on the Lake in Dunkirk.
Benefit tickets are $15 each and include: a hot roast beef dinner catered by Pat Tripp, three discount beverage tickets and a door prize.
Pre-sale tickets guarantee dinner if it is picked up by 4 p.m.
There will be live music by Zen City from 3-6 p.m. Raffles include a 2015 Hillview Golf Course Season Pass, a 50" LED 1080p TV, a gas grill with condiments basket, and a Mr. "Lucky Lotto Man"(dressed to the hilt in lottery scratch-offs).
A fantastic silent auction, and 50/50 raffles as well as several items for "tip sheet" raffles including a framed $100 bill, a Keurig coffee maker and gift cards.
