LAKEWOOD — Southwestern improved to 2-0 after posting a 10-7 win over visiting Cassadaga Valley (0-2) on Friday in a non-league high school baseball game.

After the Cougars broke out to a 3-0 lead, five runs in the second inning, two more in the third and three in the sixth carried the Trojans to victory.

Mitch Pascarella ended his day with a pair of doubles and four RBIs for the winners while striking out five in three innings of work.

Aidan Kennedy came on in relief for Southwestern and fanned four.

Conner Crabtree finished with a two-RBI single for Cassadaga Valley and struck out three in three innings of work, while David Peterson finished his day with a pair of singles and fanned one in relief.
