ELLICOTTVILLE — The Fredonia girls golf team lost a league match against Ellicottville, 35.5-19.5 on Wednesday at Holiday Valley golf course.

Allyson Fisher of Ellicottville and Ashley Holt of Fredonia were medalists in the match, each with a round of 50 on the Par-36 course. Caroline Cameron of Fredonia shot a 65, while Hannah Christy added a 67.

“It was a great match in that the course was in much better shape than we’ve been forced to play in lately (because of the weather),” said Fredonia coach Alex Conti. “It was a great day to play. The girls had a good time.”

Fredonia is in action again today against Chautauqua Lake, in a match which will likely feature other teams in the area as well, in a setting similar to a tournament.
