Lake Shore baseball defeats East Aurora

ANGOLA — The Lake Shore Eagles won again on Thursday, with an 8-5 win over East Aurora in a regular season high school baseball game at Lake Shore High School.

In a tie game in the bottom of the sixth inning, Lake Shore (5-0) struck with four runs in the inning to take the lead. Patrick Majkut pitched in relief and claimed the win for the Eagles, with three strikeouts over the final two innings.

Jon Wilson was the star at the plate for Lake Shore on Thursday. Wilson was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double and four runs batted in. Spencer Kwilos was 2 for 4 at the plate for Lake Shore, as well.

Lake Shore has its biggest test of the season ahead, as the Eagles take on Maryvale today in Angola, and again on Saturday on the road. Maryvale is Lake Shore head coach Bob Kowal’s former team.
