WACS baseball defeats Clymer

CLYMER — The Westfield Wolverines high school baseball team scored seven runs in the first inning and seven more in the fifth inning to beat Clymer, 14-4, Friday in CCAA West 2 play.

Bret Babcock was 1 for 2 with a home run and five RBIs to lead the Wolverines (5-6, 5-5). Colby Bills went 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. Brock Schuster and Dylan Scriven combined on a three-hitter with seven strikeouts on the mound.

Gerrit Hinsdale doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Pirates (4-5, 4-4), who made four errors.
