Fredonia wins District 38 9-10 Little League All Stars title
The Fredonia 9-10 Little League All Stars beat Dunkirk last week to win the District 38 title.
In the first game, Fredonia won, 10-0. Brady Crawford threw a two hit shutout on the mound. Fredonia collected 10 hits in the victory. Leading the way offensively collecting two hits apiece were Bryce Bacher (double), Colin Luce, and Andrew Kinney. Crawford, Ryan Kelly, Ryan Koopman, and Matt Cowan (double) also collected hits.
In game 2, Fredonia’s bats stayed hot, helping the team take a 25-5 victory. Cowan was the winning pitcher. Leading the way offensively with three hits apiece were Crawford (double), Luce and Cowan (triple). Kelly and Bacher (double) each had two hits, while Kinney, Koopman (double), Brennan Lincoln and Braiden Truby all added a hit.
The team moves on to sectionals, which will be held in Fredonia. Sectionals start Tuesday, July 10, when Fredonia will take on LeRoy at 3:30 p.m.
