Dunkirk girls soccer team loses, 4-1, to Chautauqua Lake

The Dunkirk Lady Marauders fell to Chautauqua Lake, 4-1, under the lights of Dunkirk High School in the home opener for the Lady Marauders.
Chautauqua Lake (1-2) found the back of the net four times in the contest. Lauren Alfa, Chadelynn Johnson, Sienna Collins and Kate Fardink all scored for the Lady Thunderbirds. Collins had an assist on Fardink’s goal.
Fardink — a Chautauqua Lake standout in soccer, basketball and softball — was carried off the field on a stretcher for injury after a collision with Dunkirk’s Kymi Nance.
Dunkirk (0-3) had a goal from Kaitlyn Davis, assisted by Mariah Glowniak. The Lady Marauders had six shots on net, while Chautauqua Lake had 25.
Dunkirk plays today at Olean, while Chautauqua Lake hosts Allegany-Limestone.
