Dunkirk tops Tapestry, 7-1
The Dunkirk High School boys varsity soccer team put it all together Thursday evening with a 7-1 win at home against Tapestry. Dunkirk scored early on a goal by Alex Sanchez. Senior Matt Hanlon followed with Dunkirk’s second goal 10 minutes later, and goals by Nick Hayes and Adam Sanchez gave Dunkirk a 4-0 lead at halftime. Matt Hanlon picked up where he left off in the second half, scoring his second goal of the game. Freshman Bryson Travis and senior Tristan Skelly finished off the scoring for Dunkirk. Tapestry scored a late goal on a penalty shot to round out the scoring. Pictured above is Dunkirk’s Bryson Travis (15) challenging a Tapestry player for the ball in Thursday’s game.
