FORESTVILLE — The Forestville Hornets volleyball team got a win on Thursday, defeating Dunkirk in three sets, 25-7, 25-18, 25-10.

Forestville was led by Paige Whitehill with two assists and three aces, while Rene Leone added two assists, four aces and two digs. Winnie Kingsfield had four kills and Rhianna Nasal had 12 assists.

Dunkirk, who was looking to build momentum after their big win over Fredonia on Tuesday, was led by Nadara O’Dell with three kills and Jessica Beehler with five assists.

Forestville (4-8, 4-5) will play this weekend at the Olean tournament at St. Bonaventure University, while Dunkirk (5-14, 3-9) will play Tapestry on Saturday.

BROCTON/WESTFIELD 0

BROCTON — The Fredonia Hillbillies volleyball team won on Thursday beating Brocton/Westfield in three sets, 25-12, 25-15, 25-17.

Fredonia was led by Sydney Bigelow, who served well tallying six aces. Maggie Magnoli also served well, collecting five aces, while Nagely Vazquez added five kills.

Brocton/Westfield was led by Sophia Demarco with eight kills and four blocks, while Lauren Quagliana added four assists, three digs and two kills.

Fredonia will play again on Tuesday against North Collins while Brocton/Westfield will face Dunkirk on Tuesday.

CASSADAGA VALLEY 3,

SILVER CREEK 1

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Valley Cougars volleyball team won on Thursday, beating Silver Creek in four sets, 25-12, 25-16, 22-25, 25-12.

Cassadaga Valley was led by Heidi Williams with ten kills and Katrina Bretl with five kills and seven digs. Kaitlin Dahl pitched in 15 assists and three kills.

Silver Creek was led by Kiera Brennan with 12 kills and eight digs, while Libby Lawton added 11 kills. Julia Hill had a good night passing, making 24 assists.

Cassadaga Valley (9-4, 7-2) will play this weekend at the Panama Tournament while Silver Creek (4-7, 3-7) will host Forestville on Tuesday.
