SINCLAIRVILLE — Salamanca defeated Cassadaga Valley by a score of 59-48 in a non-league boys basketball contest on Monday night at Cassadaga Valley High School.

For Salamanca (4-1) Aaron George scored 18 points and Issac Brown scored 15. Tyler Hedlund had five rebounds and seven assists.

Cassadaga Valley (1-3) was able to get the game within four points late in the fourth quarter, but Salamanca was able to hold the Cougars off to secure the win.

Mark Swanson had 16 points, while Conner Crabtree and Ty Pattyson each had 12 points. Pattyson also had 10 rebounds, while Crabtree had eight rebounds. David Peterson had six assists.

Cassadaga Valley is in action next on Thursday at Catt./Little Valley.
