CCHA division champions crowned at Steele Hall
The CCHA A and B Division Championship’s were fought for recently at Steele Hall Arena. In the A Division, P*Dubs defeated BJ’s two games to one for the championship. While in the B Division Wicked Glen beat the Lakeview Shock two games to one for the championship.
In the A Division, P*Dubs took game one in a close 4-3 win and BJ’s split the series the following game with a big 8-2 victory. Brian Wojcinski was the driving force in BJ’s win, getting four points for the team. In the deciding third game, P*Dubs was dominant as they got a emphatic 10-2 win. Kevin Salemi came up big in the third game as he scored four goals and one assist, Justin Giles also added a hattrick and Cory Dziduch registered six assists. AJ Riforgiat was in goal for P*Dubs.
In the B Division, Wicked Glen took game one after topping the Lakeview Shock 2-1 in a thrilling shootout. The Shock bounced back in the second game, getting a big 5-0 win as their goalie, Brian Lillie was able to get the big shutout. In the deciding game Wicked Glen outlasted the Shock, 2-1, to claim the B Division Championship. Nate Williams was in net for Wicked Glen while Dave Silagyi and Eric Williams each provided a goal in the championship game.
