Harford shines for Silver Creek

SILVER CREEK — Spencer Harford had an impressive showing on the mound Monday in leading the Silver Creek Black Knights (2-1, 1-1) to an impressive 7-1 victory over Southwestern in CCAA Divison 1 West high school baseball.
Harford went 6 1/3 while Ethan Brunner closed the deal. The duo combined for 10 strikeouts, two walks and three hits.
Silver Creek scored three in the second inning and sealed it with three more runs in the sixth frame.
Chris Van Cheri doubled for the winners.
The Trojans’ Nate Johnson went 2 2/3 on the hill, giving up three runs and three hits. Luke Tota went 2 1/3, allowing a hit and a run.
Mitch Pascarella had a triple and scored Southwestern’s lone run.
