ANGOLA — The Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association will be hosting its annual Masters and Championship tournaments at Chick’s Lanes, 8196 Erie Road (Route 5), Angola, beginning next Saturday, April 27 and running daily through Saturday, May 11.

The 20th Annual Jerry Jesionowski Memorial Masters Tournament, sponsored by Sunset Truck & Auto, Inc. & Rose Brook Golf Course is a scratch (no handicap) singles event that consists of two rounds of qualifying, followed by a double elimination match-play finals round. The qualifying rounds are Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 with the early shift starting Saturday at 7 p.m. and the late shift starting at 9 p.m. Competitors who bowl the early shift on Saturday must bowl the late shift on Sunday and vice versa. The match play finals begin on Sunday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m. Entries fees are $50 with reservations made by April 15 or $60 at the door. Shift assignments are on a first come, first serve basis. The deadline to enter is the beginning of the first shift on Saturday, April 27. All participants must have bowled at least 21 games within the Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association during the 2018-2019 season. This tournament is open to all men and women.

The 90th Annual Association Championship Tournament, sponsored by the Rose Brook Golf Course and Sunset Truck & Auto, Inc., consists of a five-person team event and a doubles and singles event. Handicap is 100 percent of 220 and there are prizes for both handicap and scratch scores. The tournament begins on Monday, April 29 and runs daily through Saturday, May 11. The squad times for doubles and singles are 9:15 p.m. on weeknights and 2:45 p.m. on weekends. The squad times for the team event are 6:30 p.m. weeknights and 12 p.m. on weekends. Entry fee for the Championships Tournament is $25 per bowler/per event. Special prizes will be available for groups that organize a squad that consists of eight teams. This tournament is open to all men, women and mixed teams and doubles.
