Hospice Golf Tourney scheduled for July 6

Special the The OBSERVER

Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care will host its third annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 6 at Maplehurst Country Club. Proceeds from the event will support its therapeutic offerings, community bereavement programs and other services that are not reimbursed by insurances.

The tournament will be a scramble format without handicaps. There will be many prizes including men’s and women’s closest to the pin, longest drive and best poker hand on the par 3s. A shotgun start will take place at 8 a.m.

The entry fee is $70 per golfer and includes greens fees, cart and lunch following the tournament. A 50/50 raffle, skins game and mulligans will be available for a few dollars extra.

“Join us for a fun summer round of golf with your friends in support of CHPC,” said BJ Buonaiuto, CHPC Events Coordinator. “The Swans have the course in great shape and golf season is upon us. Come on out for some fun!”

The deadline for registration is today. Hole sponsors for $100 are welcome. To register, visit the CHPC website at www.chpc.care. Questions or sponsorship inquiries can be directed to BJ Bounaiuto at bjb@chpc.care or 338-0033, ext.218.
