SILVER CREEK — The Fredonia Lady ‘Billies carried over the momentum from Wednesday’s victory over Dunkirk into another CCAA North contest against Silver Creek and came away with another victory. Fredonia won the match in three sets, 25-17, 25-20, 25-19, over Silver Creek on Friday night at Silver Creek High School.

Fredonia (5-3, 5-3) senior Nagely Vazquez led the Lady ‘Billies with nine kills, along with three blocks and two aces. Rhayna Myers had five aces and four kills, while Rebecca Piede also had five aces, along with five assists and four digs. Tess Corell added eight assists and five digs for Fredonia, while libero Maddy Marsh had six digs.

The Lady ‘Billies are back on the court on Wednesday at Gowanda, while Silver Creek (2-5, 2-5) travels to Gowanda on Monday.

Cassadaga Valley 3, Westfield 0

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars picked up a CCAA North league victory over Westfield in three sets on Friday, 25-12, 25-9, 25-17, at Cassadaga Valey High School.

Cassadaga Valley (5-4, 5-2) jumped ahead early and the result was never seriously in doubt. Abbey Dubois contributed nine assists for the Cougars, while Grace Warsitz had six kills and four aces, and Meghan LeBaron had four aces, two kills and a block.

The Lady Cougars take on Forestville on the road on Monday in another league contest. Westfield (0-7, 0-7) hosts Pine Valley on Monday, also in league play.

Gowanda 3, Dunkirk 0

DUNKIRK — The Gowanda Lady Panthers defeated the Dunkirk Lady Marauders in three sets in CCAA North league play on Friday at Dunkirk High School by scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-18.

Dunkirk (5-4, 4-3) travels to North Collins on Monday in another CCAA North league matchup. Gowanda (7-1, 6-1) hosts Silver Creek Monday and Fredonia Wednesday.
