Hammerhead Swim Club kicks off 2019-20 season

Submitted Photo.

The Hammerhead Swim Club held its annual “Mock Meet” and food drive at Brocton Central School on Friday, Oct. 18. The event kicks off the league season for the club and allows new and returning swimmers to gain experience prior to participating in USA Swimming sanctioned Niagara Swim League meets. The club offers 15 USA Swim events between November and March. More than 20 swimmers participated in Friday night’s event. Swimmers donated non-perishable food items for the “Feeding Fredonia” food drive as entry to the meet. The meet was sponsored by Fredonia Animal Hospital, Family Orthodontics, Tilburg Electronics, Dr. Joe Askar MD and Drab Law Office, PC. Hammerhead Swim Club is coached by Bill Bradley. Swimmers between 6-18 years old practice every weeknight at the SUNY Fredonia Natatorium. Our next Learn to Swim Program will start in January 2020. For more information on joining the club or making a donation, please find us on Facebook at Hammerheads Swim Club (facebook.com/HHSCFredonia/).
