Lady ‘Billies swim narrowly defeats Frewsburg, 94-92

The Fredonia Lady ‘Billies ended their last girls swimming contest with Frewsburg tied. On Wednesday, Fredonia came away with a two-point victory, as the Lady ‘Billies defeated Frewsburg by a score of 94-92 on Wednesday in a girls swim meet at Fredonia High School.

“The girls were excited to swim Frewsburg after we tied them last time. To come out on top, the girls were really happy,” said Fredonia coach Joanne Lotter.

Fredonia’s winning 200 medley relay team consisted of Abby Roth, Tori Spacc, Jenna Sherlock and Amelia Harper, who combined for a crucial victory on Wednesday. Spacc also won two individual events, as she was victorious in the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke. Sherlock also won two individual events, with wins in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. Harper won the 50 freestyle, while Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer won the diving event.

Fredonia now looks forward to Senior Night, on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Fredonia High School, when the Lady ‘Billies host Olean.
