Chautauqua Lake 55, Westfield 52

RIPLEY – Nate and Noah Adams combined for 36 points to send Chautauqua Lake to a 55-52 nonleague victory over Westfield at Ripley Central School.

Nate Adams scored 21 points, collected nine rebounds and had five steals for the Thunderbirds (5-15), who dug themselves out of a 12-2 first-quarter hole. Noah Adams chipped in with 15 points and Luke Waters added three rebounds and three steals.

Chautauqua Lake led 24-22 at halftime and 42-41 after three quarters courtesy of Nate Adams’ 3-pointer at the buzzer. The Thunderbirds led by as many as five points in the final period and held on for the victory as the Wolverines’ trey as time expired rimmed out.

Ryan Jafarjian led Westfield with 21 points and Andrew Baribeau added 14 (17-3).

Silver Creek 61, Sherman 60

SHERMAN – Silver Creek used a 22-9 run in the second quarter to build an early lead and hung on for a 61-60 nonleague victory over Sherman.

Dominic Jamison led the way for the Black Knights (11-9) with 17 points; Darren Jimenez added 13 points; Spencer Harford chipped in 8 points and eight rebounds; Jeremy Wilcox had nine boards; and Andre Rosario had five steals and three assists.

Gerald Carris poured in 22 points, Justiss Hannold had 15 points, five steals and three assists; and Paul Majchrzak had 9 points for the Wildcats (11-9).
