CORTLAND — The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces the PrestoSports baseball weekly awards. Fredonia’s Tylor Murphy (Albany, N.Y) has been named the PrestoSports Baseball Athlete of the Week and Oswego’s Ronald Loomis (Livonia, N.Y) has been named the PrestoSports Pitcher of the Week.

Tylor Murphy went 4 for 6 (.667) in a double header split at Emory and Henry this weekend. He collected a pair of homeruns and a pair of doubles for a 2.000 slugging percentage, while driving in six runs in two games. In Game 1, he doubled and homered. In Game 2, he rapped a pinch-hit grand slam to make it a 5-4 game. He come up later in the game, and just missed his third homer with a double off the wall.

Junior Ronald Loomis pitched five innings of one-run ball in a 13-3 win for the Lakers over Wesley College on Saturday. Loomis struck out five in helping the Lakers’ record improve to 4-1 on the season.
