Replacing a player like Brady Woleben is never easy. Add in replacing a head coach too, and you’ve got the ingredients for a tough season. To Silver Creek’s credit, that wasn’t the case in 2020, as the Black Knights finished tied for second in the CCAA East 1 Division. A big reason why was senior Dominic Jamison, who saw his efforts rewarded when he was selected as a CCAA East 1 Division First Team All-Star, which were released after the season.

Jamison was a consistent scorer for the Black Knights during his senior season. He reached the 1,000-point milestone earlier this year, as he racked up 349 total points in 21 games, which was good for 16.6 points per game. He also led the team with 78 assists and 75 steals.

Also named to the First Team All-Stars in CCAA East 1 were two Salamanca Warriors, Aaron George and Jarod White, and two Randolph Cardinals, Gabe McCoy and Kaleb Steward. All five First Team All-Stars averaged double digits in scoring.

As good as all five First Team All-Stars were, there was little doubt who the Player of the Year would be even before the year began. Randolph’s Tyler Hind lived up to expectations during his senior year and took home the Player of the Year award after finishing as the league’s only 20-plus point per game scorer. He also broke the Section VI career 3-pointer record.

In addition to Jamison’s First Team honor, Silver Creek also boasted a pair of Second Team selections, in seniors Spencer Harford and Jeremy Wilcox. Harford was second on the team in scoring with 187 points and led the team with 169 rebounds, while Wilcox added 147 points and 155 rebounds.

Portville’s Dalton Tobola also earned a Second Team All-Star selection after averaging 15.3 points per game as a senior. Randolph’s Ashton Bushey and Salamanca’s Lucus Brown also made the Second Team All-Stars.

The league did not reveal an Honorable Mention list.

Randolph finished undefeated in league play at 10-0, while Silver Creek and Salamanca shared second place at 7-3.
