Fearless Freddie’s Football Forecast

READY OR NOT. When watching the NFL this weekend, remember one important thing — there were zero preseason games this summer.

Things are going to be ugly. There likely will be plenty of penalties and the ball bouncing on the ground after fumbles and dropped or errant passes.

Tackles and field goals will be missed, scoring will be down and quarterback sacks and injuries way up. Ugly, defensive football will rule.

With that in mind, expect the Buffalo Bills to perform well Sunday, flashing to the top of the AFC East with an encouraging victory in an eerie stadium.

Expect the offense to take control in the second half, while the defense will dominate from the opening kickoff.

Freddie sees it this way:

BILLS 27, NY Jets 14

HOME teams are capitalized. The team picked to win is listed first, followed by the expected margin of victory. The official Las Vegas odds are in parentheses.
