T’birds trim Maple Grove

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake (8-1, 8-1) was a 65-37 winner over Maple Grove (3-7, 3-6) in CCAA Division 1 West play thanks to a 15-point effort from Alexis Jacobson that included eight assists and five steals.

The Thunderbirds ended the night 17-of-20 at the free throw line, and Lily Woodis grabbed 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Hailey Roush had eight rebounds and nine boards in the win.

SALAMANCA — Sydney Hvizdzak exploded for 32 points on five 3-pointers to lead Randolph (9-0, 6-0) to a 68-20 win over Salamanca (0-8, 0-6) in CCAA Division 1 East play.

Hvizdzak added six rebounds, seven steals and five assists while Alyssa Adams chipped in 7 points and five rebounds, Kyra Pence added 11 points and Wuin Pence had eight steals.

Elise Sposato had 21 points on three makes from long range while adding five rebounds, three steals and three assists for Frewsburg, while Tyra Clark had 14 rebounds and 8 points, and Teghan Trocki added four assists.

Emma Wigger led the Pirates with 11 points

PANAMA — Host Panama (7-1, 6-0) was a 63-37 winner over Westfield in CCAA Division 2 West play thanks to a 20-point night from Mandy Brink that included seven assists and four steals.

Lilly Odell added 13 points; Josephine Baily 11 points and eight rebounds; and Kylie Morgan added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Haleigh Dellow had 15 points and eight rebounds for Westfield, which stayed within striking distance until the Panthers went on a 20-7 fourth-quarter run.
