Fredonia puts away Dunkirk

FREDONIA — Marissa Cash served up six aces to lead Fredonia past Dunkirk, 25-17, 25-15, 25-13, in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association girls volleyball action.

Cash also had four kills and three blocks while Anna Valone had three aces and 11 kills for the Hillbillies (3-2).

Gina Salerno led the Marauders (0-5) with five aces, three kills and an assist. Jessica Oquendo-Vazquez had a kill and five assists; Edgar Soto had a kill, three assists and a block; and Lydia Lokietek had two aces and an assist.

Fredonia won the jayvee match.

GOWANDA EARNS SWEEP

SALAMANCA — Gowanda swept Salamanca, 25-16, 25-7, 26-24.

Karina Crouse and Morgan Maybee each had three aces, an assist and a kill while Jillian Rea had three kills and a block for the Warriors (2-3).

Gowanda also won the jayvee match.

PORTVILLE COASTS

Laura Wilhelm had 10 kills, six aces and three blocks while Tori Unverdorben added 10 kills and five aces as Portville swept Southwestern, 25-16, 25-17, 25-5.

Olivia Cook had nine kills and 12 digs; Olivia Emley had five aces and 14 digs; and Kylie Blessing had two aces and 33 assists for the Panthers (5-0).

For the Trojans (0-5), Lia Constantino had two kills and two digs; Lauren Cotter had two kills, five blocks and three digs; Anna Rauh had an ace, two kills, two blocks and four digs; and Katie Lowe had two kills and three blocks.

NORTH COLLINS RALLIES

RANDOLPH — North Collins rallied from a first-game loss to beat Randolph, 21-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.

Deanne Wilson had 21 kills, Mackenna Williams had 24 assists and Michaela Rice chipped in nine kills for the Eagles (3-0).

Sydney Hvizdzak led the Cardinals (3-3) with 11 kills to go along with two aces; Alyssa Adams had 11 kills, three aces and three blocks; and Ella Conley had 21 assists.

GATORS PULL AWAY

ALLEGANY — Allegany-Limestone won the final two games en route to a 25-19, 24-26, 26-24, 25-8 win over Falconer.

Jenna Louser led the Gators (3-3) with 14 kills to go along with four blocks; Katie Furlong had 19 assists and four aces; Madison Callen had six kills; and Maris Parmelee had five blocks.

The Golden Falcons fell to 4-3 overall.

HUSKIES PREVAIL

OLEAN — A back-and-forth ended in favor of Olean as the Huskies beat Jamestown, 20-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15.

Brynn Ackerman led Olean (5-0) with 15 kills and five digs while Makenna Pancio had 23 digs and four aces. Logan Baer chipped in 38 assists; Adele Dwaileebe had nine kills; Alice Dwaileebe had seven kills; Kiley Anastasia had 17 digs and two aces; and Maggie McClelland had 10 digs and three aces.

Hannah Grey had 19 assists; Ella Smith had four kills, four blocks and 11 digs; and Kylie O’Brien had six kills and four digs for the Red Raiders, who fell to 3-2.
