LAKEWOOD — Southwestern continued its red-hot start to the boys golf season at Maplehurst Country Club on Thursday, earning a 36-19 win over Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton (3-9) and a 32-23 win over Jamestown (3-7) to improve to 11-2 on the year.

Max Vaughn led the Trojans as medalist with a 39, while both Evan Christensen and Griffin Bogdanowicz carded 41s.

Evan Maloney shot 49 and Ritter Coombs 56 for Jamestown, while Carson Swanson shot 42 and Darien Swanson 43 to lead Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton.

Avery Salvaggio shot 47 to take medalist honors for Jamestown, while Nilla Ecklof fired a 51.

Josephine Corey shot 51 for Southwestern and Marley Ohl 58.

RAIDERS RULE

BEMUS POINT — The Jamestown Red Raiders kept their record unbeaten, downing Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley and Olean at Bemus Point Golf Course.

Jenna Stockwell paced the Red Raiders (5-0, 4-0) with a 49 on their way to a 34-21 victory over Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley and a 31.5-23.5 win over Olean.

In the other match Olean downed Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley, 31.5-23.5.

Marina Heister of Olean was the medalist with a 7-over 43. Maddy Lancaster paced Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley with a 56.
